Junk Removal in
Brewerytown & Strawberry Mansion
Brick rows on the Fairmount Park edge, half of them getting gut-renovated and half held by families who've been here for decades. We haul both sides of that story — the drywall-and-demo debris from a rehab and the basement or estate cleanout for a longtime owner — at one flat photo-quoted price. Construction debris goes to a private transfer station, and there's no PA sales tax on the service.
Two jobs on the same block
Brewerytown and Strawberry Mansion — the 19121 grid running up to the Fairmount Park border, named for the old breweries along Girard Avenue — are neighborhoods in visible motion. On one block a rowhouse is getting gutted to the joists by an investor or a new owner; on the next, a family that's owned their home since long before the change is still living the same life they always have. Both sides generate real work, and we do both without treating one as more important than the other.
For the rehabs, it's renovation and demolition debris: torn-out drywall and plaster, old cabinets and fixtures, ripped flooring, framing lumber, and the general demo pile that a dumpster is overkill for but the city won't touch. For the longtime residents, it's the ordinary, human stuff — a basement cleanout, an attic, an estate — carried up the narrow stairs and out the front. Same crew, same flat photo-quoted pricing, and the good furniture always gets a shot at donation before anything goes to disposal.
What we haul in Brewerytown & Strawberry Mansion
- Renovation & demo debris — drywall, plaster, wood, cabinets, fixtures, and flooring, priced by the cubic yard and taken to a private transfer station.
- Investor-flip clear-outs — leftover junk, old furniture, and demo debris cleared fast so the next trade can start.
- Rowhouse basement & attic cleanouts — for longtime owners, carried up the narrow stairs and out the front.
- Estate cleanouts — a whole home settled, with items the family flags set aside and good pieces donated.
- Single heavy items — a fridge, a sleeper sofa, a washer/dryer, from grade or below.
Real Brewerytown pricing
Cleanouts are priced by how much of the truck they fill; renovation debris is priced by volume. Everything is quoted flat from your photos before we arrive, and the disposal — including the private-transfer-station fee for construction debris — is already in the number.

More on construction debris removal → — how gut-reno and demo loads are scoped and where they go.
Where the debris actually goes
This is the part that trips people up. Philadelphia's six sanitation convenience centers take resident bulk trash, yard waste, and recycling — but they don't accept construction and demolition debris at all, and the two-item curbside limit was never meant for a renovation's worth of drywall and lumber. So a load of demo can't just go to a city facility. Haulers rely on private transfer stations around the region, where C&D is weighed in and charged by the ton with a real gate fee.
We handle all of that. When we quote a debris haul at $120 a cubic yard, that price already carries the transfer-station cost — you don't get a surprise disposal charge, and you don't have to figure out which facility takes what. You point at the pile, we give you a flat number, and it's gone.
Access on the Park edge, handled
- Narrow rowhouse stairs — original cellars and upper floors; we carry weight up and out without gouging the walls.
- No driveway, curb-to-front-door — standard for these rows; we stage the truck on the street and keep the carry tight.
- Active job sites — we work around trades and tight rehab schedules, and can often clear same-day.
- Donation + recycling routing — Goodwill, Habitat ReStore, and VVA for usable furniture; metal, wood, and e-waste recycled where we can.
When Brewerytown & Strawberry Mansion call us
The developer or contractor calls mid-rehab, needing demo debris and leftover junk gone before the next trade shows up. The investor calls before a listing, wanting a flipped rowhouse cleared to bare walls. And the longtime resident calls because the basement finally has to be dealt with, or a family home needs settling — the same kind of cleanout Philly families have needed forever, now on a block that looks different than it did ten years ago. Whichever it is, it's one set of photos, one flat price, and a crew that shows up on time.

"Gutted a rowhouse off Girard and had drywall and old cabinets piled everywhere. They quoted it off photos by the yard, hauled it to a transfer station, and had the place clear before my flooring guy came. No dumpster permit headache."
"I've owned my house in Strawberry Mansion for 35 years and finally cleared the basement. They were respectful, carried a lot of heavy stuff up the stairs, and gave a couple of good dressers to Habitat. Flat price, no tax, no attitude."
"Flip clear-out on a tight deadline before listing. Old furniture, demo debris, the works — one flat number from a photo, done same day. Easiest part of the whole project."
