Philadelphia Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Philadelphia?

One sofa is $126. A queen mattress is $103. A garage that’s quietly filled up for years is usually a half truck, $431. Every number below is what you actually pay in the Philadelphia area — flat, quoted from a photo before anyone drives out, with carry-out, loading and disposal already inside it.

The minimum order is $75, and the quote you get already includes everything — labor, loading, disposal and tax.

✓Insured, vetted haulers
✓Same-day when a crew is free
✓Flat photo-quoted pricing
✓No hidden charges
✓COI support

✓Cellar-to-third-floor carry-outs

The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

The wedge is what the city refuses

Philadelphia does run free bulk collection, so the question isn’t cost — it’s eligibility. Sanitation convenience centres turn away commercial loads, and plenty of what people need moved falls outside the residential programme.

E-waste can’t be landfilled

Pennsylvania’s Act 108 bans electronics from landfill, so TVs and monitors are routed to e-cyclers. That routing is already inside your price.

Three states in one metro

We cross into South Jersey and Delaware County, and private transfer rates differ across the line. Your price doesn’t change with which side of the bridge you’re on.

Free city pickup — until your load isn’t eligible

If you’re a residential customer with an eligible item and a collection day you can wait for, the city programme is free and you should use it.

The gap is everything it excludes: commercial loads turned away at the convenience centres, rowhouse basements and third-floor walk-ups where the item is still inside, landlord turnovers, and electronics that need e-cycler routing under Act 108.

Philadelphia pricing FAQs

Does the price change across the metro?

No. Center City, South Philly, Manayunk, the Main Line, Camden County and Delaware County all use the same flat list.

What happens to my old TV?

It goes to an e-cycler — Pennsylvania bans electronics from landfill — and that’s already in the price.

Do rowhouse stairs cost extra?

No. Basement and upper-floor carry-outs are included.

Can you take commercial loads?

Yes. That’s a common reason to call us, since the city’s convenience centres refuse them.

Is tax added to the price I’m quoted?

Whatever tax applies to your address is already inside the quote — Philadelphia, the Main Line or across the bridge in Camden County. Nothing gets added at the door; the number you agreed to is the number charged.

Do I have to be home?

Only if the crew needs to get inside. A rowhouse stoop in Fishtown, a driveway in Manayunk, a basement with the back door unlocked — tell us where and we’ll send photos.

How much does junk removal cost in Philadelphia?

You get a fixed price from a photo up front. Typical items: sofa $126, queen mattress $103, refrigerator $164, washer $133, 42–65 inch TV $68. Whole rooms and basements go by truck-fill instead: $241 buys a quarter of the truck and $732 the entire 16-cubic-yard box. The minimum job is $75.

Do you charge sales tax?

It depends on the state the pickup is in. Pennsylvania treats hauling as a nontaxable service, and Delaware has no sales tax, so those quotes have no tax line. New Jersey taxes one-off trash removal, so South Jersey quotes add 6.625%.

Why won’t the city take my mattress?

Philadelphia collects mattresses and box springs on trash day only when they’re wrapped in plastic, and they count toward the two-item weekly limit. We take them as they are, straight from the bedroom.

Can you carry things up from a rowhome basement?

Yes. Cellar carry-outs are the most common job we do in Philadelphia, and the stairs are already part of the flat price.

Do you take construction debris?

Yes. The city doesn’t collect construction or demolition debris anywhere, so drywall, plaster, old cabinets and flooring from a renovation all need a private hauler.

Can you provide a COI for my building?

Yes. Send your building’s certificate requirements when you book, and a certificate of insurance can be arranged before the pickup date.

Do you serve South Jersey and Wilmington?

Yes — Camden, Cherry Hill, Haddonfield and the rest of South Jersey within about 30 miles, and Wilmington and northern New Castle County in Delaware, at the same item prices.
