Pricing
How does a photo quote work?
Upload or text a picture of what needs to go. Each item is identified and priced from our published Philadelphia list, and you see one total before you book. Missed something? Send another photo and the quote updates.
What is the minimum order?
$75. A sofa ($126) or a single twin mattress ($82) meets it on its own.
Do basement stairs or a third-floor walk-up cost extra?
No. The price is the same whether the item is in the cellar, on the ground floor or at the top of a winder stair.
Is same-day pickup more expensive?
No. When a crew has an open window today, the price matches any other day.
When does truck-fill pricing beat item pricing?
On bigger jobs — a full basement, an estate, a whole apartment. Truck-fill runs from $241 for a quarter load to $732 for a full sixteen-cubic-yard truck, and your quote charges whichever method totals less.
Sales Tax by State
Do you charge sales tax in Philadelphia?
No. Pennsylvania treats hauling as a nontaxable service, so city and suburban quotes have no tax line.
Why is there tax on my New Jersey quote?
New Jersey taxes noncontractual trash removal, so one-time pickups in South Jersey carry the 6.625% state sales tax. It’s shown as its own line before you book.
What about Delaware?
Delaware has no sales tax, so Wilmington-area quotes have no tax line either.
Booking and Pickup Day
How soon can a crew come?
Often the same or next day, depending on where you are and the size of the job. Open times are listed on the quote page.
Do I need to be home?
No. Many customers leave access with a neighbor or a lockbox and receive photos when the job is done.
Who does the hauling?
Vetted local crews who work through JunkRabbit. You book, pay and communicate with us; they bring the truck and do the lifting.
My building requires a COI — can you send one?
Yes. Send the building’s requirements when you book and it’s arranged before the pickup date.
What We Take
Can you haul leftover paint or a propane tank?
Yes, each with its own price because of the handling: a one-gallon paint can is $30, a five-gallon bucket $52, and a twenty-pound propane tank $33.
Do you take old oil tanks from basements?
Empty oil tanks, yes, for $461. A tank that still holds oil is priced at $847 because of the extra handling.
What happens to everything you take?
Usable furniture goes to donation first, appliances to refrigerant recovery and metal recycling, TVs and computers to electronics recyclers, and the rest to licensed facilities — never short-dumped.
Can you take pianos and pool tables?
Yes. An upright piano is $290 and a pool table $603, each with the crew it needs.
The City’s Bulk Program
What does Philadelphia collect for free?
Up to two large non-metal items per household on trash day, with mattresses only if wrapped in plastic, plus bulk appointments of up to four items for homes and buildings of six units or fewer.
What won’t the city take?
Construction and demolition debris, anywhere. Its convenience centers also turn away commercial contractors and commercial loads.
Which areas do you serve?
